Time zones, currency and language

Here you can find practical information to prepare your trip to our city.
Time zones

Seville has the same time zone as Central Europe (GMT +1). Capitals such as Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin or Stockholm share the same time zone as Seville. This is, for example, 6 hours ahead of Washington, 8 hours behind Beijing, 9 hours behind Tokyo, 10 hours behind Sydney or 4 hours ahead of Rio de Janeiro.
Our lifestyle does have some singularities. Usually, activity starts around 8:00 am. We have breakfast between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Lunch is served from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, or even until 4:00 pm. Dinner is perfectly served between 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm.
Normal business hours are from Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 8:00 pm, with some variation depending on the type of establishment and the area of the city.

Languages

We speak Spanish in Seville, although with a rather characteristic accent. Anyway, if you are from another country and have little practice with Spanish, don’t worry, we are very accustomed to understanding you and making ourselves understood without any problem.

In Seville, communication always flows.
